Matthew Crandall is an Associate Professor of International Relations at Tallinn University. A seasoned scholar, he earned his PhD from Tallinn University in 2016, building on a robust academic foundation that includes a Master’s degree in EU-Russian Studies from the University of Tartu (2010) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University, USA (2007).
Dr. Crandall’s research primarily explores small state foreign and security policies, as well as U.S. foreign policy. His scholarly contributions have been featured in esteemed journals such as Contemporary Security Policy, Defence Studies, and East European Politics.
With a deep understanding of international dynamics and a focus on the strategic challenges faced by smaller states, Dr. Crandall continues to shape discourse in his field through impactful research and teaching.
